Reconstruction
The Part Everybody Else Hands Off
Drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinetry, paint, trim, and electrical. Put back by the same crew that dried the property out. We hold a General B license, so the rebuild is on the same contract instead of being your next project.
The fans come out. Then what?
This is the moment most restoration customers do not see coming. The mitigation company finishes drying, collects its portion of the claim, and leaves. With your walls open, your flooring gone, and a polite suggestion that you find a general contractor.
Now you are soliciting bids from contractors who never saw the loss, re-explaining it from photographs, waiting on availability, and handing your adjuster a second scope from a second company to reconcile against the first. Three to eight weeks of dead time is normal. If you are living in a rental in the meantime, you are paying for every week of it.
YKCA does not have that gap, because we hold both licenses. Mitigation and reconstruction are one contract, one schedule, one crew, one point of accountability.
Rebuilt to match, not obviously patched.
Back to how it was, or better.
Documented before demolition specifically so the rebuild can match.
Drywall & Insulation
Cavities re-insulated, board hung, taped, textured and painted to match the surrounding surfaces, rather than obviously patched.
Flooring
Hardwood, tile, LVP, and carpet replaced or refinished, including the subfloor repair underneath that caused the failure in the first place.
Cabinetry & Millwork
Kitchen and bath cabinetry, countertops, trim, baseboard, and doors. The finish work that decides whether a rebuild reads as repaired or as restored.
Electrical Restoration
Circuits, outlets, fixtures, and panel work rebuilt to current code by our own C-10 crew, with permits pulled and inspections signed off.
Structural Repairs
Framing, sheathing, and sill repair where water or fire compromised the structure. Assessed before it gets covered, not after.
Paint & Finishes
Full-surface finishing, not spot patching, so the repaired area does not announce itself under different lighting.
Why We Can And They Cannot
Reconstruction requires a General B license.
YKCA INC holds CSLB #1158693 — C-10 electrical and General B building, both active, bonded and insured.
Mitigation-only companies are not licensed to perform the rebuild, which is why the handoff happens. It is a licensing constraint, not a service choice, and it is the single biggest structural difference between us and the franchise on the next block.
Verify On CSLBWe build when nothing broke, too.
The same General B team handles planned construction across the Bay Area. Commercial tenant improvements, ADUs, remodels, restaurant and retail buildouts, and ground-up projects, all with the electrical self-performed in house.
If your project is a renovation, not a restoration, that is the door you want.

One Contract, Start To Finish
Nobody should have to hire a second contractor to finish the first one's job.
